Hi,
I have a situation where by I am on F1 Visa till 2011.But My I-20 is valid only till december 31st 2007 and i am graduating . I am going to india in december to get married (traditional , not registering our wedding) and will be returning to the US on 22nd in single status. I want to know if there will be any problem at the port of entry as i will be cutting it close to december 31st. I will have one exam pending after I return. Can you please let me know if there are any risks of denial to enter US? also I am applying for OPT next week and should be starting it from january 2008.But I wont have my EAD card on me when im travelling. What are the documents I need to keep with me as proof?
Plz Note:I have to go to india this december as my fiance has his GC pending and he is on H1 and I cannot declare as married since I am on F1 and want to retain my status and not change to H4.I will get married to my fiance later in 2008 in USA and declare as married and join his GC process.
plz let me know
thanks
