On E2 visa, I want to invest in another business, does that count toward EB-5 investor visa program?

I have an opportunity to invest in a business that will do well, it is in a totally different business field though. I have been looking into ways to make the E2 permanent to get green card, but it is unlikely with my current business as the growth has stalled. If my company or myself invest in another business, does that count toward the eb-5 visa requirements?

To ensure I can sustain a future here for my children without paying extortionate international college fees, I want to get a permanent status asap, I only have a few months to decide if I want to stay for good so I am looking at all opportunities.

Please advise if you know of ways on how this is possible.

Investing in another business could potentially contribute toward EB-5 visa requirements, provided the investment meets the criteria: at least $1.05 million (or $800,000 in a targeted employment area) and the creation of at least 10 full-time jobs for U.S. workers. You would need to structure the investment through an EB-5 qualifying project or regional center. Consult an experienced immigration attorney to evaluate your specific case, including the possibility of transitioning from an E-2 to an EB-5 visa to secure permanent resident status.
