On CP process, does my immediate family have to stay back in our original country

I am Canadian, leaving and working in the US and going for the CP process.
I have been told that after the interview in Montreal, Canada
my family member should remain in Canada until the GC were issued . Is it true????

It is not true. I am in the same situation (from Canada and waiting for my CP)and my family has been here in the USA with me.

You are given the Permanet Residence when you enter at the POE after the interview.
I had my interview last week, My wife who got the PR with me, came with me to US the same time as me - last week.
