On calling the Customer Service number

My lawayer had told me earlier that if I call the Customer Service number once, then BCIS won't accept contact from lawyers for any questions.

The lawyer has asked me NOT to contact the customer service. Is this true? Would the lawyer know if I contacted the National Customer Service for more information regarding an RFE that has been issued.

Please let me know.

Relax!! If you think you have an RFE on your I-140, finding information from the Customer Service is not going to help. They will probably tell you to wait for the mail. Besides, for I-140 they only give out information to attorneys, and employer. A lot of the customer service people are reading from scripts, and are not knowledgable on immigration matters.
