On 485 abandonment

My wife got her H1B approved in June 2007 (consular processing). She was on F1 visa before. In July we applied for her 485 as my derivative beneficiary. Since she had to get her H1 B visa stamped from US Consulate in New Delhi by Oct 1, she left the country and came back on H1B visa. When she left the country, she didn’t even have her 485 receipt as there was a big receipting backlog due to record number of 485 filings. Upon returning, she got the receipt and also did her finger printing in Oct.

My questions are that will her leaving the country count as abandoning the 485 application even though she came back in H1B visa? Can we expect and RFE from USCIS regarding this? Should we re-file her 485 application when the dates become current for me?

She is fine. Reentering with an H1 or L1 preserves the I-485, even without advance parole. And there was a memo published saying that the I-485 receipt is not required when the H1/L1 stamp is presented, because they have the I-485 filing information in their system.
