I contacted the Ombudsman in September and received a letter from him on October that he has send a formal inquiry, bla bla. I emailed him yesterday and told him I have not received the result of the inquiry yet and that I am considering filing for for a Writ of Mandamus to compel USCIS... His office replied my email right away that they searched their system and USCIS is activly working on the inquiry and thanked me for my patience... I am not sure if I should proceed with the Writ or I should wait.

They reply within 45-60 days. That's what I was told when I called 1-800 and made my inquiry over the phone, so be patiant and wait.
Thanks guys, TSC still says they are processing 2001 that is not ture. we know many cases of 05 and 06 who are approved. I am all ready with my WOM petition and all that but I am debating if I should wait because in the email they said the result is forthcoming or I should go ahead and send the suit.
