H1/H4 with old stamping

Hi,

No, there should not be any problems if you have a valid stamping on your passport although you don't work for that company anymore. However you do need to carry your new H1B approval notice with you. Make sure you have that with all the othe documents generally needed for h1/h4 stamping. Check various immigration websites for details on that.
I went on a vacation with my old stamping which was valid and came back without a problem having my new I-797 from the new employer, they did stop me and take me into the room but the officer in there approved it and said it's valid. It's legal and they can't do anything about it to stop you from entering. My wife came back with the Old H4 stamping and she was not even asked a question. So don't worry, you should be fine.
