Old test vs. new test ?

To those of you who've taken your interviews in the past 3-4 months and who had N-400 priority dates BEFORE Oct 1 2008, Did you get asked which test you would like to take (old vs. new) ?

Other than the different questions, is there really any difference ? Is one easier than the other ?

I've only studied the questions and answers from the old test booklet not the new one. According to the rules for those who have a priority date before Oct 1, 2008 can choose which test to be administered.

(i have my interview next week, with an N-400 PD of 9/23/08).
 
I was asked questions from the old test but studied the new one, the IO said he thought the old one was easier.

If it is important to you mention it to the IO
