I am a doctor in India and was the recipient of a family based immigration petition with my parents from my USC maternal uncle. The petition had matured in 1992 but was not availed of. I am 29 yrs old now and single. Is it somehow possible for me to use the old petition now to obtain a green card now?
I have come across this Section 245i but dont have an idea whether that method is still working or long dead.
The petition had been filed sometime in 1983 and matured in 1992, we had undertaken a visit to California in 1991 on a B1 visa that expired in 1996.
