quick question i have lost my old passport my wife is the princple applicant, would that be a problem?

As long as you have a new one you are fine.

My passport will expire in Jan 2009 any problem if visa will be isseued b/w July and Sept 2008

Your passport should really have at least 6 months before expiring at the time of your interview. If your interview is in September 08 your passport expiry date should be at least March 09.
