Here is my case
1) I have H1b visa in my pass port from old company A valid till June 2006
2) I have new H1b approval notice valid till Jan 2007 from company B
3) I got maried in august in India and came back to US - Couldn't get a chance to get h1 visa stamped in my passport for Company B
4) I got my I-94 at POE valid till Jan 2007 based on the new approval notice
- Now my wife is planning to go for the H4 stamping in Madras.
a) In this case can she get a H4 visa based on my new H1 Approval notive
and old H1 visa in my passport ?
b) If so will she get the visa based on June 2006 (h1b visa) or Jan 2007 (based on my new h1 approval notice) ?
c) If it is based on old h1b visa which is going to be 9 months (to june 2006) will the consulate ask any questions about the duration - too short like ?
I would really appreciate if u could throw some light on these issues
