Hi folks,

I'm applying for adjust of status through marriage to US citizen. I assume I need to send my BC with the package but the translation of my BC that I have handy is from almost 10 years ago. I would send a recent translation but I don't have it right now I would probably have it in 5-6 weeks which would be too late for sending the package.
Would guys recommend that I send the old one or just send the package without BC and wait for the recent translation of BC and send it later?

Thanks again for all your advice

But I thought it need to be translated by certified translator!!! In case that I translate it myself I assume I need to send a copy of my original BC which of course is in my native language???

Rose_uw,
Praeatorian is correct, I have also used same as he/she suggested in one of thread. If you carefully read instruction for I-485 you will understand. Here it is.....

Please submit certified translations for all foreign language documents. The translator must certify that s/he is competent to translate and that the translation is accurate.

The certification format should include the certifier's name, signature, address, and date of certification. A suggested format is:

Certification by Translator

I [typed name], certify that I am fluent (conversant) in the English and ________ languages, and that the above/attached document is an accurate translation of the document attached entitled ______________________________.

Thank you guys. I guess I'm going to take your advice and translate it myself and attach the copy of original BC as well.
