I have one question which is vexing me
I have read in lot of places that one should apply for AP while in the US and that it cannot be mailed abroad for someone to enter the US using it
What about this case
My wife has a valid AP (say valid till Jan 2010)
She applies for extension of AP while still in the US,
then travels outside the country (say Sept 2009),
AP extension gets approved while she is still outside the country but her existing AP is still valid (Say Nov 2009)
She then enters the US back on the old valid AP (Say Dec 2009)
Is the new AP valid or invalid for future re-entries given that it was approved while she was outside the US when it was approved?
