Hello,
My case (EB#) as per the IO, FP is cleared, SC is cleared, the case is with an officer waiting to get approval, so they can assign a VISA no. But the IO I talked told me , I have to wait till OCTOBER 2007 to get the VISA no.

But when I read an article in murthy.com
http://www.murthy.com/news/n_oct07vb.html

We have just confirmed with the U.S. Department of State (DOS) Visa Office that the DOS Visa Bulletin for October 2007 will likely be similar to the DOS Visa Bulletin for January 2007. The January Visa Bulletin, http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bulletin/bulletin_3100.html, was current for EB1, and EB2 for countries of chargeability other than India and China. The EB2 cutoff for China was April 22, 2005; India was January 8, 2003. EB3 cases were all retrogressed, with cutoff dates ranging from May 8, 2001 to August 1, 2002. :( :( :( :(

what will be mine and lots of other applicants in similar situations status...we are all going back to wherer we are last year, or we we get some hope.

I am really sad about it....your thoughts or things you learned may give me some hopes.

USCIS has to first go through its case list to know which cases will be ready for approval come October. Only after it determines that will it request for the appropriate number of visas from US DoS. Only THEN can DoS publish a visa bulletin.

The "prediction" above is just that: a "prediction". It may turn out to be true, but no point getting depressed about it already. As we can see, USCIS is still using up its time in approving cases.

Of course, it is also possible that during the mad-rush of June end/July beginning, USCIS already figured out how many cases it will have ready for approval by October, and told DoS accordingly. However, this is all just speculation. Let's wait another month till the October bulletin is published. Till then, we can hope that USCIS is processing cases as it should: in an orderly fashion (high hopes, I know).

There are going to be lots of approvals in rest of august and september, Don'nt loose hope you will get approve.

Predictions are predictions, they can go either ways. Members have written scores of messages trying to understand the logic and rationals behind the VB but all in vain. On other hand, no one predicted so many peoples getting approved all over.

I would suggest to take it easy and relax.... I am in similar boat.

Good Luck!
