hi folks

talked to my lawyer, the conversation was not too encouraging..
apparently, they have inducted some new security check, which is different from the initial security check that takes place after ur Finger printing...this new check adds an additional one month to the processing time,
and apparently every new application filed (EAD, ADVANCED PAROLE AND 485), has 3 security checks for each one of the above, all though all the 3 checks are primariy the same, this too has added to the delay,
all in all, my lawyer still says the same thing what I heard 3 months back"it can take upto 3 months to get approved"
looks like its time to forget thinking about the approval and enjoy the new football season...

cheers

They added this new check 6 months back. yea this is what is done after your FP, which is why the FP cleared date that IIO tells versus what the AVM tells is off by a few days. IIO date - AVM date = that extra check.

Or is this some check that I am not aware of?

silly man...

whats ur RD, mine is october.
just talked to an IIO, she said the INS processing date is sept 1 which is ND specific and not RD specific,
my ND is nov 16, and by her calculation which I dint have a choice but trust, it will take another 2 months atleast.....
wow, so much so for the approval,

btw, does going to India on ur advance parole affect the process by any chance,

Hey my RD is Nov 1st, and yea what they are talking about is ND and not RD. IIO's answer is JIT based if you see. (As always).

But if you see approvals trend, if they were giving out approvals today, we could expect ours either today or within the next 2 months. INS works in a broad range of 4 months, which means right now, they are giving approvals of Nov/Oct/Sept/Aug people. August is 99% done, and Dec is 99% pending. and you and I are right in the middle of this .. approval bell curve right now. Our chances are good.

What is worrying me though is .. this hiatus in 485 approvals. THIS IS JUST RIDICULOUS, Sept 10th and hardly any friggin' approvals.
