october expectations.........new winners

since it's almost 2 months before October and 3 months after 1 May,what do you guys expect for October? any surprises? if it happened and they post new winner,how much they could be?!!! what's really going on in KKC right now?

I think there will be more selectees for DV2013 in October 2012, and i base my belief with the following:

1) An immigration lawyer in Michigan told me that at least for the last 3 years there has been some left over DV visas that expired and didnt get used by any immigrants. Now these visas might be for some or all categories of DV, meaning they might be for AS, AF, SA, or all of them i am just giving an example. But the fact is the numbers do show that there were available visas that didnt get used.

2) DOS and USCIS dont do things just for the heck of it.... meaning. They know what they are doing and they seem to have anticipated that having a second drawing is a good idea to use up the unused visas.

3)Good things happen to those who wait....and i am sure alot of us are waiting

If they draw more people later this year, does it mean that they are going to start in october with low numbers as in october 2006 or high numbers as in october 2011?

You will get email only when KCC completes and your case and schedules an interview for you. You won't get email for the first selection. So you will have to check your status.

i thought using the unused visa of the previous years would be illegal ,since issueing visa according to the fiscal year!

in october 2010 they started Europe at 9600 and Africa and Asia with 9000. In october 2006 Africa started at 5700, Europe at 3450 and Asia at only 1550.

Someone I know got an e-mail from KCC on 13/07/2012 with a link that has his confirmation number DV2012 and he won. So hidden winners exist after all. Please he needs to know how to start as he deliberately chose Seychelles instead of Nigeria to gain advantage as Seychelles do not play much. That paid off. Should he get KCC the DSP and DS forms and hunt for his Seychelles' Passport and Birth Cert.?

Or can he just go with Nigeria Passport?

One of the documents they require at the interview is an original, long-form birth certificate, so your friend will need to hunt and find that birth certificate, or get a new one if they can't find it.

PS: Does anyone else on this forum find the Image Verification very difficult to figure out? Most times I have to redo the puzzle 5 or 6 times. I understand the need for such a thing but this one is a pain. I wouldn't be surprised if people give up posting because they can't get the Image Verification puzzle right.

Yes the image verification is a pain in the neck...


They're not daft. They'll find out that the guy isn't really from Seychelles. How do want him to provide a passport or birth certificate from a country that I'm sure he has never been to?
