October Bulletin Out

It's interesting to note that no additional notes/remarks have been made about the EB category in this bulletin as was the case for several of the past bulletins. This time we only see a note about FB category.

"D. VISA AVAILABILITY IN THE COMING MONTHS
During recent months the cut-off dates in several of the Worldwide Family preference categories have moved very quickly. It is expected that such cut-off date movement will continue during the first quarter of fiscal year 2008. Should the level of demand begin to increase at a significant rate, it may be necessary to slow or stop such movements at some point later in fiscal year.
"

I guess both applicants and CIS are convinced that the dates are what they should be for EB category.

It's just interesting to see how the focus shift from EB category after the Aug VB fiasco, after which most of us are reasonably satisfied about the progress in the green card process.

EB2-India is same as June-Sept VB - 04/01/2004

gcWudBeHere,

Aren't you glad your PD is current during October 2007 also? As for me, hopes are so high that I am expecting my GC by the end of 2007 if not by end of October 2007. See my signature for details.

Good luck for all EB2-India with PD of 04/01/2004 or before. - IE

you are a lucky fella

I am darn happy about the current VB and the dates for EB2. I wish everyone the very best in their GC process.

On the other hand I should say that you are a real lucky guy because you may even get your GC before the end of this month.

You know USCIS is trying to use every available number before this fiscal year closes on Sep 30 and that would give folks like you (ie EB2 current and FPs and checks done) a real good chance to get tagged for a GC b4 soon.

That's my logical analysis though.
Good luck.

So, what else is predicted by AILA?

Do you think this whole talk about another major wave of work by USCIS in Oct is true? Was that mentioned by AILA as well?

Thanks,

Stoned!

485 approved today

I got the email today saying that my 485 was approved and another one welcoming the new permanent resident.

But my wife's status is "This case has been sent for a standard interview."
On September 17, 2007, we transferred this case to our NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER location to conduct the interview that is a standard part of processing this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS.

Any idea on what this means and what to expect on the interview?

Thanks all.
