October Bulletin & Case Processing

Hello Gurus,

I am in EB2 categoy and earlier my case was stuck in security and got cleared 2 month ago but then Visa numbers became unavailable. My status becomes current in October' 06 Bulletin. But my lawyer mentioned today that INS publish these records (bulletin) one month in advanced meaning that INS will clear upto the dates mentioned in October bulletin in the month of October (instead of September). Sounds illogical but not sure.

I also contacted my congressman and he said my case is in queue but I have to wait until all cases before me are processed (sounds as if INS is processing things in September).

Do you guys have a opinion or know for fact how does INS work (lawyer's way or congressman's way)?
 
your lawyer is correct.....

The visa numbers bulletin for a month is generally released in the previous month and for 485 to be approved your PD should be current (visa number shud be available). This means that your case, if approved, will be done only in the month of October when your date is current. So your lawyer is correct.
