Just checked online and found out that my case was approved yesterday (03/11/2004). This forum has really been informative and supportive. Good luck everyone who are yet waiting for their approvals.
In case for some who want to put their detective cap and see what triggered this case, read on. I dont have a clue but I am happy that its finally over.
Contacted the NJ senator Lautenberg on 02/04/2004 and got a reply that I need to wait for 30 - 60 days for my approval and My case looks good
Called the 1-800-Useless (INS customer service) number and was told to wait for another 30 - 60 days to hear for an approval. I asked for a tier 2 personal, they transferred me to an officer. This guy was initially telling me that my file looks good and it is ready for approval and I should wait for 30 - 60 days, if I do not hear anything from them, then call him back and he will initiate an enquiry. I requested him to initiate an enquiry immediately as it is already delayed. Well he did that (I hope, atleast he pretended to ) and told me to followup in 30 days.
