Hi, Everyone:
A question: filed I-485 recently, the first 3-year H1B will expire soon, I have filed a renewal. But I do not think I can get the H1 renewal or EAD approved before the expiratin date. Do I need to stop working at the H1B expiration date of H1B and wait until EAD approved?
I have herad that there is a grace period for expired H1B, 8 months.
If that is the case, it means that I can work after the H1 expiration.
Any info is appreciated. I do not want to be illegal but do not want to lose money either.

Please post the EB class as well, since we only can tell your PD is current or not from the combination of EB class and your PD.

If you are from India, you have a long way to go, man. Your PD won\'t be current until May or even June, then you need to wait another 15 days to receive the approval notice.
If you are from China, your I-485 can be approved any day now.
