OCT (RFE and 2nd FP) case approved!!!

I was silent reader of this forum. I would like share goooood news to encourage all of you who are in same boat. Today I checked the on-line status and it says "my case has been approved on July 29" both for me and my wife. Just now, I also got phone call from my attorney that he received the approval letters.

May God fulfill all your dreams !!!!!!!!

RFE generated: 04/17/03 ( employment related)
RFE response received by INS: 05/12/03
2nd FP done:06/11/03
AD: 07/29/03

Falls as per my thought..Approval after 1-1.5 mos after FP2.

After FP2, did it reflect online?

Again looks like Online updating had some problem last 2-3 days..
Approvals of July29th seen today by many.. :)

My 2nd FP notice was issued after RFE response was received by INS.( a day or two later).

Till date, On-line used to say "RFE response was received on......". It never reflected anything about 2nd FP status (notice issued, result of 2nd FP) etc.

I hope it clarifes.

do something for you to speed up your case?

Hi Clueless123, here may be some clue for you:

I did contact the senator in first week of July 03. I'm not sure if it really helps or not. Senator office replied that "Once 2nd FP notice is issued, INS puts the file on-hold for 60 days. INS will-reopen my file on or after 7/14/03" ( in my case 2nd FP notice was issued on 5/14/03).
Please note that I did not tell anything to Senator about my 2nd FP etc. So I can believe that Senator office has really contacted the INS before replying to me.
 
Congrats. Were you scheduled to do your 2nd FP on 6/11 or did you go early. If you went early, what was the scheduled date of appointment. Thanks.

Did you say that the website still says "On ...day, we received yoru response....". The AD was July 29th. Have you received the approval notice or the information was updated to the Website?

Dear GoneCase, Cole , dhw and dengdeng, here are answers to your questions:-

GoneCase: My 2nd FP was scheduled on 6/11 and I appeared on scheduled date and time.

Cole: I'm in EB2 category from PA state (Philadelphia area)

DHW: On Aug 1, Website was updated with "your case has been approved on July 29....". I had also received approval notice on Aug 1. Only on this day I came to know that my case has been approved though multiple sources: web-site and phone call from attorney that he has received approval notice. I didn't check AVM.

Dengdeng: Senator did NOT talk about "expedite".

Thankyou for writing-in and thanks for all other forum members who congratulated me or at least shown interest in reading my mail.
