Oct RD, RFE case approved on 3rd Feb

Hi!

This is to inform you all that our cases (wife, kids & myself) have been approved on 3rd Feb. The details are as below:

RD: 23rd Oct 2001
ND: 3rd Dec 2001
RFE: Oct 2002
RFE RD: 13th Nov 2002
Approved: 3rd Feb 2003

My kids cases give the same message "The status for this Receipt Number cannot be found at this time in this automated system." which I think is standard.

If you have any questions I will be happy to answer them. good luck to you all--I think the approvals have really picked up --especially the RFE cases!

Hi Free4all!

The RFE was for name change of my wife--both her first name & last names were changed! INS wanted evidence that both names were that of one & same person!

I provided affidavits from her mother, my wife & myself, a certificate from Consular General of India confirming her maiden & married names based on passport application. Also since her birth was registered recently in the records of the muncipal corporation, I managed to get the birth certificate with both names.
