Oct-03 I-140 approved!!! :)

Hey all!!

Just received emails for my I-140 approval. They approved it on 2/8/05.
LUD hadn't changed since Oct-03. My name check has been pending since Oct-03 as well. I had been emailing FBI since Oct-04 to get a status update and I am assuming that they finally must have completed the name check process which might have triggered the I-140 approval.

No changes in LUD for I-485 yet.

My case details:
PD: Apr 2001 EB3
Concurrent I-140/I-485 filed on Oct 21st, 2003
1st EAD approved 12/16/2003, 2nd EAD approved 12/21/04 after RFE)
1st FP on 1/10/2004; 2nd FP on 9/9/2004 (had got a RFE for 2nd EAD for biometric and they took my FP again)
I-140 AD 2/9/05
LUD for I-485 on 10/01/2004 (FP received)

Congrats on your I-140 Approval, hope you hear about early 485 approval. Can someone tell me what is the relation between I-140 approval and name check. Is it required for the name check to be clear before I-140 gets approved. My I -140 is approved is that mean, my name check is done/cleared?

Well, just when you know you have it all figured out...I went to the local USCIS office in dallas today and found out that my name check is still pending and hence they have not approved my I-485. My spouse (derivative applicant) has her name check cleared but won't get her approval till I get mine. They are just waiting for name check clearance from FBI...

so gckajadoo, I-140 approval doesnt have anything to do with name check....
