Hi All,

Can any one tell me how long does it take for stamping once you ship your US passport to Chicago ?

And second question can i go to CHICAGO office and get the passport after stamp at the same day ?

I had the same question. Sent my US passports for stamping and OCI collection on Oct 1st (Receipt date at Chicago). I am still waiting to get them back. Looks like NY takes 7 business days, not sure about Chicago..
 
Congrats for your OCI to have reached Chicago. If you are planning to go to Chicago, they will accept your Docs between 1100-1300hrs and in the evening after 1600hrs they will hand over OCI and PP. The Consulate opens at 0900hrs and reaching early has no benefit. They are attending to everyone with a token issued till 1230 hrs. After handing over docs take a long lunch break and some window shopping in Michigan Ave- Magnificent Mile. Everything over by 1630.
