Hi,
My cards have been finally printed and should reach be dispatched soon. Say the oci should reach NYC in not more than 10 days. I am travelling in Jan (still at least 5 weeks buffer after the cards reach NYC).
Should i go personally to counter and get the cards or send via mail. I stay in ohio, so its going to cost me some airfare (but might be worth it, considering how reliable the consulate is). The website says it takes 5 working days to get back the passport with oci stamped via mail. They said 3 weeks for surrender certificate and that took me 5 weeks plus, so naturally i'm worried.
Anybody have a bad experience getting the OCI stamped and back from NYC?
