I had posted this earlier, had got a few replies but this my situation.

MY wife came to this country when she was a year old. SHe became a US citizen in 1980.

She does not have the old indian passport or copies, does not have birth certificate.

We have her mothers indian passport, a affidavit made in 1977 by her grandfather stating her birth in india, immunization form from state of new jersey stating her parents name. Would these be enough as proof for her OCI application?

We are planning to return back to india, if she does not get OCI is there any way she can work and stay in india..?

Appreciate all your help;

kind regards

I thinks the documents you listed (mother's Indian passport and NJ immunization form) + a current affidavit from her mother should suffice. I don't know if a 30+ years old affidavit would have much value.
