Washington DC - OCI - Process Begins

Can anyone share his/her experience about the timelines for OCI processing at Washington DC, who applied for OCI any time during May 2007?

I am not so sure as why it is taking so much time in Washington DC. One of my friends applied at New York consulate on June 5th, 2007 and his documents have been already dispatched from New Delhi on June 11th.

Please keep on updating the time lines, which will give us the idea as how much time it's taking at Washington DC.
