Hi folks,
When I filled in my Travisa form, I had requested pickup of the OCI from Travisa office. OCI was approved and came back from New Delhi, Travisa sent me a notification reggarding sending in your original US passport by mail only (no in person submissions). The mail also says: 'It is strongly recommended to send in your passport by a track-able method such as FedEx or UPS. Do not provide a handwritten or manual UPS or FedEx air bill. Handwritten and manual airbills cannot be used by our office.'
Here is my question: if I filled in the original form saying I am picking up the OCI/Passport from Travisa office in NY, do I need to worry about return label printing or the handwritten airbill thing in the notice. My impression is I can just send the passport via trackable USPS and pick it up in person, no return label printing and sending would be required?
Can the gurus please let me know...
