OCI: No ack from HoustonCGi ~3weeks

Greetings y'all:

I sent my OCI application (part B) to CGI Houston by FedEx, delivered to them on the 20th of September - nearly 3 weeks ago. As of yet I have not received an ack. email from them. I've checked their online status inquiry page but that shows "Not ack'd" as well.

Needless to say I've called, emailed, and faxed them several times, but have received no response from them.

Any ideas on how to obtain a status update short of visiting them in person (5 hour drive for me). Anyone in a similar situation?

Er..., did you send in only the part B or both Part A and B?
I am assuming you sent in the complete app, i.e. both part A and B together. If not, then ...

The ack doesn't come through email. The embassies/CGIs forward the app to MHA in Delhi for processing. The web page shows status as Ack'd only when the MHA office in Delhi acknowledges it.
You may also want to email the people in MHA Delhi for details. See if they tell you something. Their contact details are in the only sticky thread on this forum.

I also sent in my application 3 weeks ago & still haven't heard back with a File(Acknowledgment) No or anything. Of course, they don't respond to phone/email. How long does it usually take for them to get back? Anybody had a similar experience?
 
Still waiting

I'm the original poster... and am still waiting. Its been over a month since my application has been at the CGI Houston, no ack/File number as of yet.

No response to calls, emails, or faxes.
 
Sent: 9/22/2006 No Ack after 1 month

It has been exactly one month since I sent my application.

So far I heard nothing.
 
Ack'd finally: No email, though

As of yesterday, my online status shows "Acknowledged" after 5 weeks of receipt by CGI Houston.

No email received, though.

What does your status show now? Is it granted? Photos Scanned?
