OCI for Minors

I aplogize in advance if I am asking a repeated question. Both of our N-400 is in processings. We are thinking of applying OCI for our two kids who are born in USA and hold US passports(7 years and 3 years). When I look at the consulate website for information, it said "Foreign born minor children are not eligible for OCI if both the parents are still Indian citizens."

I am wondering whether We can apply for OCI for our kids now or should we wait until we become US citizens. Any help is greately appreciated

You cannot apply for OCI for your kids while you and your wife are still Indian citizens.

Wait till your oath ceremony is complete and you get your US passport to apply for OCI for your children and also for yourself and your wife.

You need to wait until you are a US citizen before you can apply for your children.
