OCI application not acked; recvd sept 13th

My application was received by Houston CGI on Sept 13th.

No word of communication; Their 713 enquiry number
is just a show case. Nobody answers the call. Nobody
ever replies my e-mails.

So, I am frustrated; But I understand, out of a billion
population, x% is overseas. Slow processing is
always the "hallmark" of "the" system. No complaints;


Can someone advise me on ways to get status update?
My last resort is to drive to houston and knock their
door with reciepts and copies.

Sent my application on 9/22 - Same situation

No acknowledgement, no response.

on OCT 25th my MO was encashed as per IPS inc.

Can anyone tell me: if my MO is encashed, does it mean my app is
in good shape as per MEA?

This OCI app is designed on par with "rocket-science" to have
everyone go thru hoops; Hey, been thru them while getting into the US system; now its the other way :)) No complaints even now ;-)

check the status thru online enquiry. type USA...number and you will see the status.
 
What can be done?

I am amazed by how OCI processing folks get away
with pathetic service. Why dont they ack the application?

If they, atleast we have an indication that something
is going. They can deliver my OCI approval whenever
they like (as they do now :)

Postal tracking, MO tracking wont prove anything to
outsiders.

Any suggestions? Yeah, my app was recieved by
Houston on Sept 13th. My MO was encashed on Oct 25th

So far no ack :-(((

Check status online. You should get the results. I sent my app on 9/22. Houston didn't ack or replied.

Online status showed apporved, despatched from Delhi and sitting in Hoston.

I sent my passport anyway for stamping.

Can we write to someone to fire these people at Houston?

Online status says app not acked

Yes, online status says app not acked.

And as per the OCI form "If there are any objections while processing the applications, the same will be displayed on the Online Status Enquiry. Please follow the instructions and send requisite documents to the Indian Mission/ Office where you have applied quoting the File (or Acknowledgement) Number."

So, I dont know where to start, where to end;

I will wait for a couple of weeks before making a darshan of
"Houston Astronauts" at CGI.

Finally, I am thankful to MEA NRI; They had sent an e-mail with the following
text. I have replaced details with "xxxxxxx" for privacy sake.

I have no clue why CGI Houston can't mail a postcard to me or e-mail
me on my enquiries. Are they so under-staffed? Again, I suggest
CGI can go for a premium service and expedite the process rather than
giving heart-burn to OCI applicants.

Anyways, just wanted to share this info with you all

how to track weather the MO has been cashed

can anyone please advise that how can i track that moneyorder has been cashed. its been 6 weeks i send my application, online status says application not ack. i am worried that my MO has been lost somewhere. Its 275$ +15$ its lot of money.
