OCI application fees for non-us nationals filing in the U.S.

Dear All:

I read somewhere that application fees for non-U.S. citizens applying for OCI in the U.S. is 295+20(mailing charges). Is this correct?

Yes and no - some consulates, e.g., Chicago, ask for $20 additional application fee ($295 instead of $275), and some don't, e.g., SFO. My wife is a Canadian citizen and we got her OCI for the regular $275 fee thru SFO. Check the fee requirements for the consulate/embassy you'll be applying to.

Thank you AKGarg first of all. There seems to be quite a few differences for OCI for the consulates in the U.S.

I tried to register online - part A, but got security warning while accessing the site.
