Occupation on Immigrant visa

Guys,

I got my passport and a sealed envelope with my immigrant visa pasted on it.

All details on the visa were correct.

However the occupation was mentioned as Eng: Engineer/ surveyor map science.

Is this true for everybody having a software job ?? I feel it is incorrect.

My question is this - should I approach the consulate with this information or is this a generic description given.

The consulate has included a peice of paper with a fields mentioned as critical - for which, if there is a mistake - we are supposed to report to consulate.

Occupation is not one of them.

Any help would be appreciated ?

I can be reached at jkaipa@yahoo.com

Thanks

mine was too. Wondered about it for a while then gave up. Anyway i have entered the US without any problems. I think the occupation is a internal job code at immigration
