When I was 18 I was caught with my then girlfriend by her mom and she reported me and had me convicted of Statutory Rape. I know it depends if the crime involves moral turpitude but from what I have heard statutory rape is open to interpretation. The specific charge is defilement of a minor under 17 so doesn't sound as bad as statutory rape but I would hope an immigration officer would understand the background of the charge. Any opinions/advice would be most welcome. Thanks
