Obtaining Birth Certificate by mail from Chinese Embassy

Hi,

My spouse (PD: 1/7/1999, RD: 9/12/2000, ND: 9/26/2000) received a request for birth certificate today. Has anyone obtained Birth Certificate from Chinese Embassy? What documents do I need to provide?

My case was approved three weeks ago.

Wait a minute!?..

From what I understand from the past, INS NSC will not accept
BC from Embassy or consulate. It should be issued by Govt. Authority
for that purpose.

Instead, you can submit Affidavit from your wife\'s parents, if you can.

May be I am wrong in Chinese Govt. structures! But, from India it
never wroked that way!

Yes, you are right. I called the Embassy this morning, I was told that they don\'t issue BC. I was trying to get this done asap, but I think I have to get it in China.
