obtaining 7th year Extension !!

I am entered into the 6th year of my H1B stay and 3 months passed by. Now if my employer files for PERM and get approval , will i be eligible to get 7th year extension or do i need get 140 approval too as per the new Rules ?

Pl guide me as i am running out of time .....

Not sure what you mean by the 'new rules' - the rule has been for a while that you can extend your H-1B for 3 years based on an approved I-140. Do your PERM, do your I-140 under premium, and then you can extend for 3 years based on the I-140 approval.
