Oath taking questions - San Francisco

I'm having my oath taking tomorrow (the letter says at 8am) and have some questions. Unfortunately, there is NO ONE at BCIS (INS) to ask. So, if you have recently become a citizen, can you help?

My question is:
My family and friends are interested in attending, but I was told that the ACTUAL ceremony start at 9am, not 8am. Should I just tell them to go then? If they come at 9am, will they be let in without me?
Or will it be better than they come with me?

The actual ceremony starts after 9.00. They can go there late, at least in New York. First two hours are just paper work.
