oath rescheduling by the INS!!

I had my citizenship interview in NY on 12 November 2002 & was then asked to appear for oath ceremony on Nov 27th. I was unable to make this appointment as I had previously arranged a trip to travel out of the US on this date. I immediately informed the INS of this in writing & they sent me a notice that I was to instead appear on Dec 13th, 2002 for my oath ceremony. This evening I received a call from the INS saying that new procedures in place have caused them to again reschedule me, that I should not be alarmed and that I should hear from them in a few weeks.
Does anybody know what the INS is up to in this regard? I have never heard of a rescheduling of an Oath ceremony after a confirmed Oath date (in 2 days time) has been sent to me. The INS says I should not be concerned, but naturally I am. Any info on this would be helpful to me. thanks

Hi, JNM
Sorry you missed the boat. I just posted a reply on another thread explaining why (some) natz cases are put on hold ("Share oath ceremony expirience" is the name of the thread on US Citizenship. Some of us are just unlucky I guess.
