Oath Letter Name

I applied for a name change at my interview. Today I received my oath letter but the name on it is wrong, is the name on the oath letter the name that will be on your citizenship certificate?

Your name change becomes legally valid only when you take your oath. Until then, your current name is correct.

My oath letter had already
my new name on it.

That must have been a fluke....technically your name change is official when you take the oath.

But if the applicant is concerned, he/she should schedule an InfoPass and inquire with the staff as the oath is a local procedure and they should have up-to-date information regarding the name change.
