OATH Letter in Atlanta

I just had my interview on November 29th in Atlanta. The person who interviewed me gave me an option to take the oath the same day but he had to get an approval from his supervisor. He came back and told me that l am late to take the oath that day but that l am approved and will receive my oath letter in the mail.
Does anyone know how long it takes to recieve that letter in Atlanta? Could it be that the supervisor did not want me to take oath that day for whatever reason?
Does anyone know someone that was approved on the interview date but got a mail saying that it was not approved?

First I've heard

I didn't see this before.

This is the first time I've heard that same-day oath was even possible in ATL. That's good to know - and to hope for.
