Any one gets interview at WASHINGTON DC OFFICE FIELD still waiting for oath letter should join this thread to share their experiences.
I got my interview on SEP-2-2008
2 months and 20 day has passed and no OL yet. :D
I has made 3 inforpass and was told my case in "RE-VERIFICATION" mode << -- NO ideal what is it :p

Here is my time line :
FEB-12-2007 : Sent N-400
MARCH - 14 -2007: 1st PF --- (32 days)
MADE 4 inforpass : Name check pending
JULY - 26 - 2008 : 2nd PF --- (16 months 14 days)
AUG - 4 - 2008 : IL recieved
SEP - 2 -2008 : ID (18 months 20 days)
Decision can not be made, wait for letter from USCIS
NOV - 22 : (21 months 10 days)
Still waiting for oath letter

At the end of the interview what did you recive from the interviewing IO? Did it say congratulations you have been approved or something else? If it is the latter, it is possible it needs to go through another approval step with a supervisor.

decision can not be made

I did get an n-652 saying that the DECISION CAN NOT BE MADE
The IO told me to wait for an oath letter in the mail
And i've benn waiting for ...... almost 3 months :confused:
 
Wait 1 more month (total 120 days, that's when they have to give you a decision), and make an Infopass, and find out what's going on.
Try to be patient until then; A lot of people who were in this situation got their OL after a few months.
 
so desprate

the whole process has taken too long for me, 22 months waiting in unaceptable the funny thing is that I don't know that how long i will have to wait more :eek: . Any one on the same boat please post a reply so we can share our experiences through this waiting process

I am at 29 months with the earliest prospect probably at 31 months. Hoping for a January oath... I've only waited 3 1/2 weeks since "no decision can be made" along with RFE which I sent in instantly, so I guess I need to wait a little longer. Getting impatient... So far the USCIS has simply failed to handle anything in my case within a reasonable time period. I would think finalizing paperwork and sending an oath should only take a matter of days... Still wating....
 
Don't know what is going on

I just call 800- and was able to speak with the IO. She told me that my case was interviewed on nov-24 and there was another interview date on my file. I really don't know what's going on. She told me that i should expect Oath letter somewhere next year :D that'd exceed 120 days frame from the day i got interviewed (SEP-2). This whole process is getting messy as days goes by.

I suggest that you schedule an Infopass to get to the bottom of this issue. I wish you the best.
