oath ceremony without oath letter

Hi guys,

I called the service center today and was told my naturalization case was approved. My oath day will be Dec, 17, 2009 at San Francisco. The bad news is they send the oath letter to my old address (I moved after the interview), even though I filed AR-11 form and called the service several times to confirm the change. I do have the letter to confirm they received my AR-11.

The officer today me the reason is that the oath letter is administrated by the local field office, it takes a while for them to update.

I have asked the usps to redirect the mail to my address, but so far I have not get anything. I have schedule a infopass with SF office on Dec 1. to try to get a replacement letter. My questions are:

1. How likely they will give me a replacement letter or copy at infopass appointment?

2. If I cannot get the letter or the replacement copy, can I just show up at the ceremony to ask for one?

I do have the copy of N652 which says Congratulation and recommend for approval.

Thanks a lot for you help!

You can go directly to the DO office with infopass and maybe if you are lucky they may just print that oath letter for you. They did this to someone on this on this forum.

g'luck!

Yes. That is what I am going to do. I have a infopass appointment on 12/1. But they are very unpredictable, so I am preparing for the worst.

Thanks,
