Oath Ceremony, modified oath

Hi there,

I just have a quick question.

At the oath ceremony do I need to mention I'm taking the modified oath, or do they have that in there paperwork? Also does everyone at the oath ceremony take the oath together, or do we do it individually?

Thanks,

Paul

I can't comment on the modified oath but when you are scheduled to take an oath with a group of people all of them are usually administered the oath at the same time. It would take way too long for them to do the oath for each person separately.

In your case I would think that they need to make special arrangements for you especially if the oath is worded in a specific way based on your needs.

If you have a modified oath and it has been accepted then you just leave out the section that you requested to not include while everybody is giving the oath. It is quite simple and will also be documented in the interview records.
