Oath ceremony in Seattle?

Does the Seattle DO offer same day Oath ceremony (after the interview) these days? I read an older posting that Oath Ceremonies were only offered on Mondays, in Seattle -- is that still the case? Is it always the immediate next Monday (even if the interview is on a, say, Friday)?

These days -- seems like the Oath Ceremonies in Seattle are typically on Thursdays. There are no same-day Oath ceremonies (if the interview falls on a Thursday, you will be asked to come for the Oath ceremony on the next Thursday).

One week after the interview

It seems the oath is scheduled one week after the interview. We had our interview on a tuesday, and the oath was ceremony following tuesday.

Thanks for your response....that might be true. We interviewed on a Thursday & were invited for the ceremony on the next Thursday.

BTW, anyone know if I can take my baby & my parents along with me to the Oath ceremony -- in Seattle? Will a stroller & baby food be allowed inside? Will I be allowed to be with my baby during the event?

Visitors are allowed

But be sure to take a state recognized identification for them. My visiting parents were with us, but we forgot to carry their passports and it was an unnecessary hassle to get them in. They did allow them in eventually.

Babies are allowed

If you are the only oath taking parent with the baby, you will allowed to have the baby with you. If you have another guest (spouse, friend etc) who is not taking the oath, they will ask the baby to be given to that person. This is what I observed during my oath ceremony.

Oath Ceremony Seattle

Can you tell me how long the whole Seattle Oath ceremony took? Mine is scheduled for 2pm tomorrow? Should I have friends and family come right at 2pm or a bit later?

Oath ceremony experience

The oath ceremony was scheduled at 2.00pm for us. We were there by 1.30pm. However, a little bit of confusion ensued due to us not having the photo id of my visiting parents. Everything was sorted out by 1.50pm. They announced all oath taking candidates to assemble in the entry room at about 1.55pm, and they explained how we need to fill the form, and to be registered at the front desk to mark our attendance. Then candidates were asked to register and go to the oath ceremony room. They had divided the room into 2 sections - one for the candidates and another for the guests. There was a person assigning seats to the candidates (based on number of candidates in a group, whether they are handicapped or senior people or with babies etc). Then we waited almost an hour while people were trickling in to the room. Dont know if its the norm or just an anomaly for that day. After that the program started and was over in less than an hour.

In our case...the Oath ceremony was scheduled at 2pm. But, they waited till 3pm to start. We were done in less than 1 hours (and we were out of the building by 4pm) I believe there were about 145 people taking oath on the same day.

Note that parking can be somewhat of an hassle -- try to go at least 15-30 mins before the scheduled time.

We had the same exerience. I was led to believe that they usually wait for all/most of the people to check-in (and no later than 45-60 mins after the scheduled time).
