Oath after second interview in NYC

Folks,
I need some expert advice from those in the know. I am inquiring on behalf of my mother. She had two interviews at the NYC office regarding her N-400. The first interview was civics and English, which she passed. The IO asked her to come back and bring more documents which included Social Security statements, rent receipts, etc. She provided those documents on July 13 (second interview). Her N-400 receipt date is Feb. 16, 2007 which is still within the timeframe of the applications that are currently being processed. At this point, she has not heard from USCIS whether or not her application is denied or approved and she has not been scheduled for an oath. Does anyone have similar experience? When can she expect a decision on her case? Thanks.
 
Did she get a IV passed letter during her 2nd time? Try writing a letter to the IO officer, asking for a status update may cause him/her to respond to the case.

The letter that she got after her second interview said that USCIS will send her a written decision about this case. Nothing as of yet...You still think it is worth contacting the IO or waiting until the processing time is outside of the processing timeframe...
 
There has been a thread about a gentleman who was "pushing" a little hard the USCIS to make a decision through either calling or inquiring via Infopass maybe once a month. He then received a denial letter.

If I ventured into giving some kind of advice, I would suggest your mother waits for 120 days before contacting the USCIS. And by then possibly ask whether there is any additional piece of information they would need from her to make a decision - by doing so, your mother would volunteer to be helpful.

Thanks again for the advice. 120 days from what date?
