O-1 visa renewal

Hi,
Iam a surgeon and on O-1 visa since 2007. In June 2009 I changed jobs and got new O-1 visa, I got new I-94 by just entering and returning back to US at canada boarder before my previous visa expired in June 2009, but i never got stamping done in my passport.
Now I need to travel to Europe for conference and I need Visa stamping to be done. I got the appointment for visa stamping in Ottawa, canada on August 15th. I dont know what to expect......I cannot go to India for the visa as it will eat into my work hours.
AmI in trouble for not getting it stamped for 2yrs? I still have my visa valid till June 2012.
Please adivce.

Visas are entered into the immigration computer referenced to your passport and so it is not essential to get a sticker in the passport as the visa will be detected by a scan of your passport or an immigration officer entering your passport into their computer system.
