I had my interview at Federal Plaza on Feb 25. I was approved and recommended for citizenship, but the interviewing officer did not give me the option to pick up my oath letter the same day. I asked others in the waiting area, and no one had been given a same-day oath letter, and some had been told that it was because of the inclement weather and they were trying to get through interviews quickly so the office could close (this was the day of the big snow storm in NYC, oath ceremonies for the following day were cancelled also).
It has been almost 3 weeks, and I have not yet received my oath letter. I told my IO that I would be traveling from April 14-19 and he made a note of it, and said that he hoped I would be able to have the oath before then.
I want to know if others who were interviewed at Federal Plaza have also had to wait for their oath letters, and if so how long you had to wait for?
Please share your experiences with this!!
Thanks!
