I had my Interview in NYC on Thursday March 2nd - EB-1.
I was grilled a bit about taxes - finances - jobs [I am a freelance photographer].

I did not have my birth certificate - the Immigration officer asked me how long it would take to get it -
Try to get one from the consulate or a letter that they could not issue it.

Went back to the Federal Building the next day and gave the same immigration officer the letter and told her that I could get it from Italy and give it to her today , March 10th.

she told me it was needed to complete my application so she could review it.

Today I went back with an Infopass and gave her the Birth Certificate - she looked at it and took the copy.

she did not stamp the passport and told me I would get a notice in the mail in about 2 weeks -

now I am worried. Is it normal? don't they often stamp the passport at the end?
Would she need my birth certificate if she wanted to deny the case?

well I am worried now -

waiting/waiting...

Stefano,
Did the officer say that you will get an approval notice in two weeks? If that is the case, then do not worry. You will get your Welcome letter and then the approval notice (which also carries the Green Card) in about two weeks. In my case, although the IIO stamped my passport but I know that now a days they are not doing it in most cases. She also gave me a notice to get my biometrics done on the same day (photo and index finger print) at the local ASC and I comlied. I did receive my Welcome Notice, Approval letter and the green card within 12 days of that interview. I think that you will receive it soon. I wish you the best.
