NVC didn't receive P3 from STL

P3 mailed to STL - 10/25/02
Check Cashed - 11/19/02

I called up NVC this morning and found that they haven't received my P3 from STL. They asked me to fax them a copy of the "cashed" cashier's check. Has anybody came across similar issue? How much delay this may introduce?
What would be the next step?:(
 
In my case, they misplaced the Cashier Check after I sent my P3 to St. Lus on 10/16/02. After a month I got a mail from NVC says, they haven't received any payment and asked me to mail it to them immediately. I called NVC and told them I have sent the payment whatever the hell the amount is... Seems they did some investigation on this matter after I faxed my DS230 + the Cashier Check ( Copies that I have ). Now they find it and the check was cleared on 12/12/02. This cost me almost 2 months. Now I got another mail which says, they lost my wife's DS230 and mail it to them immediately. I don't know how many days this will cost me??? I am in the process of mail that out. Talk to your lawyer so that things won't messup much... Cross ur fingers and wait... that's all I can say... This process is too frustrating...
 
NVC process??????

It seems that great guys are working at NVC to handle our so important matters. Is there any way we can contact St. Louis about our cashier check. Please input your knowledge......
 
NVC Process....

Here is what my experience on this.... There is no way you can contact St. Lus on your Cashier Check. All you have to do is keep in touch with the bank where you bought it, to see whether it was cleared or not. They should be able to tell you. Let's say it past one month from the day you sent your P3 to St. Lus, in my case, they forward my case to NVC though they were missing my payment so that NVC can inform us what is happening with our case. If there is any glitch ( as happend in my case ) they will send you a mail saying they haven't receive the payment Bla..Bla... bla... and need to send the payment for $ so and so + DS230 to St. Lus again with the corresponding Fee bill. If there is any administrative reviews, if at all take place on any case, all you have to do is just wait on time. My friend seems to me, Patience is the best practice for the people whoever in the pipe line of Green Card. One day we will get it... don't we...? :-):-):-)

As I see, with few exceptions most of the applicants are going through the frustration of not knowing the status, from the time
they send out the payment, till they receive Packet III.

My experience is similar, I have sent out my Cashier's check
on 2nd Dec. Till now I have not got even the delivery confirmation
for my express mail.

Other than calling to know, whether the check has been cashed, which I am doing almost everyday now, there is nothing I can do.

Being holiday season, fewer people would be at work, and things are usually slower than other times of the year!

Just hang in there!!
 
U shld get delivery confirmation for express mail

I dont know why u dont have it. In my case i sent by priority mail. I have the dleivery confirmation. Hoping to get packet 3 before new year.

Hi Raju...

You should be able to track your mail, if you mail out as an Express mail. Check your 'Receipt' that should have a tracking number on it. Using that U should be able to track your stuff. Also, If you go to concerned Post-offce, they should have a clint-service division in side their branch. Usually the people at desk will help you to get there and check with them by showing your receipt if you still have it. They will let you know the details... Hopefully, St. Lus should have your case with them by now.

I know I can track the Express mail, but that is my problem,
the tracking result says' the delivery was attempted on
12/03 at 10.36 PM ( it is indeed 10.36 in the night! ). Another attempt will be made the next day.If it is not succesful it will be held for five business days and returned back to sendor'.

This is the status from 12/05, and I have not got it back at my
attorney's place, from where it went out. I talked to several people at the post office, though one guy said it was delivered on 12/04 , I am unable to get written confirmation.

Anyway, I hope it has reached its destination, and waiting for
packet 3.

It looks like that we are currently in the same boat.....mine check sent on 12/5 to St. Louis....not cleared yet...no trace where it is stuck. At least we can enjoy sharing our info here. thanks for all cpers of this page. SRI-IL and Raju and all others pls keep posting it.
 
Check sent on Dec 4th

All,

My law firm sent the check to St. Louis on Dec 4th. I called NVC today to find out that NVC doesn't have any record of the check being cashed. The NVC rep told that it's taking about 2-4 weeks to get the checks encashed.

I am hoping to receive Packet 3 by the first week of Jan'03.

Did everybody's issue of delayed mails/lost mails got resolved.

I know Raju595 got his Packet 3.

I do appreciate if you guys could post updates so everybody would be benefitted.
