NVC actual received date and date on telephone

Hi there CP gurus.

I had sent my packet 3 from fed-ex and was tracking it. As per the tracking the P3 was delivered on 29 Mar 2004 morning. But now when I call at NVC the recorded message says"
"The NVC received the document on April 1, 2004. Please allow 6-8 weeks from this date to review. The NVC will notify the outcome of your case once decided".

The difference in dates not substantial. But is this normal?

Also, What can the NVC "decide" as the message says? Can they reject my P3 or if everything is normal i.e. in the DS-230 Part 1 is there anything to worry about?

Once they send it to Mumbai consulate, where will they notify? at my current India address or to my lawyer in US or I can keep polling the telephone and the message after they send it to the mumbai consulate will say "u r case has been forwarded to mumbai consualte on mm/dd/yyyy..kindly contact them"

This site is really g8 !! Especailly if the lawyer is not very co-operative.

Mine is the normal CP - NVC case

Yes. It's normal at all immigration centers. Essentially they entered your case into the system on April 1st.

Yes you will see constant updates on the telephone query system. Main stages are Fee bill being generated, Fee being recd., Completed Processing, Forwared case to consulate.
(Look at my signature ... ;) )

Thanks for the info.

To add, mine is standard NVC case. and my company has already paid the fees i.e. in the P3 it was stated "...we have received all the necessary Immigrant Visa and applicabe Affidavit of support fees for this case........." so I hope the stages "..Fee bill being generated, Fee being recd.." will be bypassed.....isn't it ?

The next stage would be "..transferred to consulate"..isn't it?

..You'll receive P3 only If you have already paid Fee bill.And since you have already sent P3 to NVC,the message is right.At every stage NVC takes some 4-5 weeks of processing time.Just wait for 4-5 weeks to get next message "Review is complete,NVC forwared to XXX consulate"
